ETS General Assembly Meeting 2025

ETS General Assembly Meeting: Re-election, new members and looking ahead

The ETS General Assembly Meeting (GAM) was held on 5 December 2025 at GIP Union Retraite in Paris, bringing together representatives from across Europe to review progress and set strategic priorities for the coming years. This annual gathering serves as a cornerstone for collaboration, governance, and innovation within the ETS network.

Key Decisions and Outcomes

One of the most significant outcomes of the meeting was the re-election of the current Board of Directors for another three-year term. This decision ensures continuity and stability in leadership, allowing ETS to maintain its momentum in the ETS roll out and cross-border cooperation on pension communication. In addition, the Assembly elected Claudia Wegner-Wahnschaffe from VBL and Richard Bordignon from GIP Union Retraite as the first and second chairpersons of the Board of Directors, respectively. Together, they now form the ETS Executive Board, tasked with steering the association through its next phase of development.

Expanding the Network

The GAM also marked an important milestone in ETS’s growth: the inclusion of two new members. REGOS (Croatia) officially joined the association, and the Assembly approved the membership of DRV/ZfDR (Germany). These additions strengthen ETS’s European footprint and reinforce its commitment to fostering collaboration among pension institutions across borders. At the same time the association received a letter expressing interest to explore further cooperation from the Polish Institution for Social Protection ZUS, a fantastic perspective to expand the ETS network in 2026.

Mrs Primorak, Managing Director of Central Registry of Affiliates (Regos):

“At the annual assembly of the European Tracking Service, REGOS officially became part of the European community, and the digital platform Moja mirovina part of the European initiative to develop common digital pension information.

This is an important step for everyone who has worked, works or will work in more than one Member State of the European Union and the European Economic Area, as their pension information will be more accessible than ever before.

I am glad that with this membership we are opening a space for cooperation, exchange of knowledge and development of an even better public service.”

Mrs Petersen, Director of the German Agency for the Digital Pension Overview at the DRV Bund:
"We are delighted, that the Digital Pension Overview is becoming part of ETS-European Tracking Service e.V. and that, together with all members, we will be able to realise the vision of providing mobile workers with a comprehensive overview of their pension entitlements and improving the general understanding of these entitlements."

Looking Ahead

With renewed leadership and an expanded membership base, ETS is well positioned to tackle the challenges and opportunities of 2026 and beyond. The Paris meeting underscored the association’s dedication to continue the ETS roll out, make the connections work, prepare the grounds for new connections enlarging the ETS community.
