Recap on ETS Forum on Pension communication 2025

On Wednesday 24 September, ETS hosted the annual Forum on Pension Communication in Brussels. Our immense gratitude goes to the Belgian Federale Pensioendienst (FPD) who kindly hosted the event at their Pension Tower. The Forum gave both political and practical perspectives on pension tracking and communications.

Currently Union Retraite for France, Federale Pensioendienst (FPD) and Sigedis for Belgium are connected. During the event, Claudia Wegner-Wahnschaffe and Richard Bordignon, the Executive members of the ETS Board of Directors, – proudly announced new members. The tracking services Regos of Croatia and Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund for Germany have confirmed that they will join the ETS Association.

With these new members, ETS is well on its way to covering more than half of all of Europe’s mobile workers – empowering them to find, understand and track their pension. This evolution has solidified ETS as the European Pension Tracking Service provider.

The Forum was created to facilitate conversations and insights from various perspectives in pension communications. Across multiple panels, the current and future states of pension communications were discussed. The panels covered topics ranging from ‘How to facilitate effective pension communications’ to ‘Making pension information truly accessible’ and ‘Dealing with continuous changes of pension systems and other challenges’.

Furthermore, we welcomed several keynote speakers. Amongst them were Mario Nava, Director-General, Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion at the European Commission, Vincent Mahieu Administrator-General (ad interim) Federal Pension Service Belgium and Tomasz Pawlikowski Advisor to the President, ZUS Poland.

Mr. Pawlikowski showed how ZUS has been investing for years in building pension awareness communication from an early age. He reflected by saying that the ETS Forum on Pension Communication was clearly more than just a technical discussion. He found it to be an interesting insight into a level-up of European cooperation based on transparency, interoperability, and trust: “Pension literacy and access to reliable, comparable information are key to citizens’ confidence in social security systems. The idea of a reliable European tracking service is not only about technology. It is all about educating and empowering people to understand their future, regardless of borders.”

As we continue to evolve and expand, we welcome National Tracking Services to become join the FindYourPension platform. Reach out to find out more!
