ETS event on 24 September 2025

We are excited to invite you to the second edition of the European Forum on Pension Communication on 24 September in Brussels (Tour du Midi).

The ETS Forum was established last year and brings together pension stakeholders to discuss developments in pension tracking and pension communication. We are looking forward to insightful discussions on topics such as

  • How to facilitate effective pension communication
  • Pension tracking systems and state pensions
  • The impact of financial literacy on individual pension planning
  • Ensuring accessibility of pension information for all
  • The role of national pension tracking services in building and maintaining trust in the face of continuous changes.

Communicating on pensions and pension systems is an extremely difficult task. Citizens are not aware of the differences in the pension pillars and systems, not even within one country. They focus on the questions how much pension they can expect for their own retirement and when they will receive it. For this reason, national Pension Tracking Systems (NTS) aim to provide an individual overview on expected or at least accrued pension entitlements. Researchers agree that an individual's understanding of their pension situation also depends on their own financial knowledge and confidence. Therefore, research and discussions on financial literacy are placed high on the agenda of policymakers, supervising authorities and providers today.

Policymakers, pension professionals, academics and public administrators will join us to exchange views on the aforementioned topics. The aim of the European Forum on Pension Communication is to create a permanent and dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovative strategies in the field of pension communication across Europe. By fostering dialogue and bringing together a diverse array of pension stakeholders, the Forum will exchange best practices on pension tracking and communication and bring together different perspectives

The European Tracking Service on Pensions (ETS) will host this event at the premises of the Federal Pension Services in Brussels.
